About me
Thanks for visiting my website. I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. After receiving a degree in psychology from Columbia University, I lived and worked on a kibbutz in Israel, a formative experience which inspired me to make aliyah (immigrate) to Israel. After receiving my law degree from the University of Michigan, I immigrated to Israel, where I became fascinated by the stories of Jewish immigrants to Israel from all over the world. In Israel, I served in the international law department of the Israel Defense Forces, and I also worked for the United Nations Refugee Agency and for an organization advocating for the legal rights of Ethiopian-Israelis. I traveled to Ethiopia for my honeymoon and was moved and intrigued by the heroic immigration of Ethiopian Jewry to Israel. Today, I live in Northern Israel with my husband, three children and a dog. I currently work as the Israel and Overseas Director at the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. I am a proud Zionist, a life-long runner, and a passionate vegan. In my free time, I love to read, hike, and spend time with my friends and family.
